This morning Jarom and I were eating frosted flakes for breakfast. They aren't very filling so I decided after a small bowl of frosted flakes that I needed a little taste of Wheat Chex to give me a little fiber so I wouldn't get hungry at work this morning. I poured a little cereal in the bottom of my bowl with the leftover milk from the frosted flakes. Wheat Chex need a little extra sugar on them so I got up from the table and poured a little sugar on them from the sugar bowl. Now I'd like to share the next part of the conversation with you.
Jarom: "Hey let me have the box of Wheat Chex. I want a bite of them."
Mindy: "Here, you might as well just finish them they are almost gone."
Jarom: (Pouring cereal into his bowl) "I should have kept the milk from the frosted flakes". "It would have made my Wheat Chex sweeter" (Then he proceeds to pour milk on his Wheat Chex and starts to mix the cereal and milk together). "That's okay, Real men don't need sugar on their cereal."
Mindy: "Well, I'm not a man so I can put sugar on my cereal." (I sit there for a minute eating my Wheat Chex) "Would you like me to get you the sugar for your cereal?"
Jarom: "If you want."
Mindy: (Getting up from the table to get the sugar out of the cupboard) "I thought you said that real mean don't need sugar on their cereal." "I guess you aren't a real man."
Jarom: "I said they don't need it but I didn't say real men can't have sugar." (He then puts sugar on his cereal and eats it all up. Yum yum!)
Sometimes men make me laugh. Jarom would have rather eaten his cereal without sugar and used the excuse that "Real men don't need sugar on their cereal" then to get up from the table and walk two steps to put sugar on his cereal to make it better. I'm glad I could serve him. Thanks for the laugh this morning Jarom....and a great posting for my blog! I love you!
