This year Easter was much different than the past 5 that I have spent in Denver. We got to spend it with family and it was so much fun! I can't tell you how much I love living in Utah and being able to attend family gatherings. Those of you that have lived close to family don't know how lucky you are. Here are a few pictures of our Easter festivities. Allie didn't get anything that was going on but she loved playing with the Easter eggs after the bigger kids were done with the Easter egg hunt. Next year she will love running around and trying to find eggs. We may have spent more time outside but it was very cold and windy.
Our niece Alisha playing with Allie. Allie just loves Alisha.
Here is Allie tyring to decide what to play with next.

Allie inspecting the plastic Easter eggs after the candy had been emptied out. She loved playing with them.

Jarom and Allie Easter morning. Jarom really is happier than this picture shows him to be. I can not get him to smile for the camera. I don't know why because he really does have a cute smile.

This year for Easter Jarom was in charge of making the deviled eggs. He claimed that he loves them and wanted to make the so that they would taste just right. They were really yummy and we served them with our family dinner. Jarom claims that he can't cook but he can. I'm so proud of my husband!

Living with my parents does have it's advantages. My mom bought an Easter egg dye kit and Jarom and I dyed eggs this year for the first time. It really was fun. I haven't done that for years.

The Easter bunny brought Jarom a chocolate cigar. This is Jarom pretending to smoke his "cigar". It was very yummy chocolate. I'm sure it was much better tasting than a cigar would ever really taste.

A side note...This last week has been pure heaven! Allie has slept through the night for six straight nights! She goes to bed between 8:30 and 9:00pm and is waking up between 7:00 and 7:30am. It's amazing what a full nights sleep feels like. She also learned to really nap. Ever since she was a newborn she has not been the greatest napper. Some how this week she has finally learned how to nap. A couple of days ago she took a 4 hour nap. I about died. I wasn't quite sure what to do with myself I had so much time on my hands. She is growing and changing so much each and every day. I just love her and love being a mom.
Also, Jarom and I are going to be running a 10K (that is 6.2 miles) here in the next month. It's for the Smithfield Health Days. I'm pretty proud of Jarom for doing this. I've ran a couple of 10K's and have really enjoyed it but Jarom is not a huge fan of running. This morning we completed our 4 mile run. It was wonderful. Only two more miles to go! I'm excited to be doing this with Jarom. He's such a good man isn't he?
