Nickel + Baby=trip to the emergency room

Saturday afternoon I received a phone call from my sister telling me that she was at the hospital with my 15 month old niece Olivia. She had swallowed a nickel and it was lodged in her esophagus. They went to the emergency room and had an x-ray done and it was decided that they needed to go in and surgically remove it. It took about 20 minutes for the actual surgery. Everything is fine and Olivia was home by evening. What do we learn from this lesson? That nickels are not throat lozenges.
